“ Up for business and was told I have to go. Love the atmosphere. Bar area was impressive. Food was pricey but service was very fast and the staff was super social. Sat at the bar. Team style serving with everyone on point with great energy. Bartenders were great joking back and forth. Steak was very fatty for my liking but my buddies I went with were all about it so my personal taste next time I think I’ll go with the skirt steak. Had the peanut butter cake for dessert was very rich but amazing at the same time. Could definitely share the dessert. Will be back for sure next time I’m up. Will add more pics then too. ”

“ We came here for an early dinner (4:30) on a Saturday. We had a reservation, and we were promptly seated, and we were allowed to choose if we wanted to sit inside or out. We opted for outside. Both the inside and outside of the restaurant are beautiful. Our waiter was very friendly, and he checked on us regularly. They have a good selection of beers from local breweries. We started out with a pretzel and fried cauliflower, and I highly recommend the cauliflower! It was so good! For the main course, I had a burger, and I would definitely recommend it! It was a great experience! ”

“ I was visiting Syracuse from out of town, and found Craftsman online and decided to check it out with a friend. We sat at the bar outside since the weather was nice, and the atmosphere was fun and lively, and it was a Monday night! We didn’t know what to order because the entire menu looked delicious, and we asked the bartender, Zeriah (I hope I spelled that right), to surprise with some cocktails. I was given a spicy watermelon mezcal margarita and my friend got surprised with the coconut dragonfruit margarita. We were blown away with the quality and creativity of the cocktails, and we had not even had the food yet! This was an experience on its own: we told her some flavor profiles that we enjoyed, and she gave us cocktails that we had never had before but perfectly matched our tastes. More places should have talented bartenders like this, that interact with the customers on that level. It’s so fun! For starters, we had the wings and the fries, and for entrees we had the salmon and the steak. All the food came out timely and was cooked to perfection. We ended with dessert and had a salted caramel cake and the lemon ricotta cheesecake, both of which were delicious. I’ve visited Syracuse a number of times and would say this is easily the best restaurant in town, due to the incredible service and the quality of the food and drinks. I cannot recommend this place more! ”

“ Great service, cute and cozy vibes, perfect for date night or dinner with friends and family. Loved the cocktails and the food was pretty good! Would come back here again. They have some creative dishes such as the bacon flight which was super yummy! I got the summer salad which was so refreshing, truffle fries which were very good and crispy and the artichoke dips - super yummy!!! ”

“ Three of us had a great experience. A Sunday night about 7p. The service was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The room was probably 3/4 full. The open kitchen is a nice aesthetic. The decor is nice, comfortable, a bit rustic and casual. The food next level (we’re from Dallas TX and know great food). Appetizers of fire roasted chicken wings (garlic / sesame) and 2 crab cakes, both an 8/10 for flavor and portion. Our entrees of pizza, skirt and hanger steaks were perfectly prepared and very tasty. Well seasoned and fired on a coal burning grill in the open kitchen. Sides of mash potatoes, asparagus and brussel sprouts were perfectly prepared and very flavorful. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it! We’ll be back! ”

“ First time at the Craftsman and it was a great meal. First off it's a beautiful setting both inside and outside. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The menu is very diverse and dare I say almost too "fancy" for the less adventurous eaters in the world. I'd recommend taking a gander at the menu if you fit that description. For my wife and I everything we had was delicious. The cauliflower appetizer was amazing, my burger was cooked to perfection with a nice flavor, my fries were good, I would have preferred a bit more salt on them. My wife loved everything on her Salmon dish. We got a side of the beets and they were a great addition to our meal. For dessert we tried the ice cream sandwiches, which you can't go wrong with that kind of choice and the lemon blueberry cake. That cake was a recommendation from our server and she was right on!! It was fantastic. No doubt this is on the more expensive end if you are going with the main dishes. For our first adventure here it was worth it! Enjoy! ”
